Founded in 2020, Sacred Medicines is a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), working with multiple committed individuals and organizations to provide benefits to communities for whom Ayahuasca and other medicines are sacraments. We honor the wisdom of the indigenous peoples and their medicines; namely, the importance of reciprocity.
OUR WORK
We envision a world where sacred plant medicines, in conjunction with integration therapy, are safely and legally available for those that desire it; where research is governed by rigorous scientific evaluation of risk and benefit, with honor and respect for sacred indigenous wisdom and culture.
PROTECTING SACRED PLANTS
There is concern that sacred medicinal plants growing in the Amazon basin and forests are being over harvested.
Our intention is to alleviate overuse and depletion of sacred plants in the Amazon basin, through sustainable agricultural practices.
